Cognitive map- Biomolecules

Image
Cognitive map also known as Concept mapping (CM) is a teaching and learning strategy that establishes a bridge between how people learn knowledge and sensible learning. Students need to have sufficient foundation and a critical thinking about CM and the relations between different concepts. Concept mapping promises to be useful in enhancing meaningful learning and students conceptual understanding. Concept mapping helps meaningful learning in several ways. It is an activity that provides the student with an opportunity to organize, summarize, analyze and evaluate many different ideas. Thus, it promotes the development of critical thinking skills, which can then be used for other meaningful learning activities. This is the concept map is for plus two chemistry chapter- Biomolecules

Weekly reflection- second week

The second week of school internship started from 8/12/2021 and ended on 15/12/2021. I took online classes for VIII and IX standard in alternative days. The time for the classes were same as the last week , for VIII I the timetable was scheduled at 6.15 pm to 7.00 pm., and physics for 9 I was scheduled at 7.00 pm to 7.45 pm, and the link for the class was send 10 minutes before the scheduled time. I had covered the topic acceleration due to gravity, mass and Weight, free fall in physcis and in Chemistry- homogeneous mixtures, true solution, colloids, and suspensions, soft drinks. We had classes till 15.07.2021. The session were so good. The students were so active and there was much interaction. The teachers asked us to keep a track on the attendance on both the standards. Proper preparation was done for every session. The classes went well and were according to verified lesson transcript. After the completion of the chapter solutions in Chemistry a diagnostic test followed by remedial...

Weekly reflection- first week

The first week of school internship started from 1/12/2021 and ended on 7/2/2021. Due to the Covid pandemic the schools are closed, so our teaching practices takes place via Google meet platform. After seeking permission from the respective school we started the teaching session from 01/02/2021. I got Govt.H.S.S Anchalummoodu for teaching practice of phase 2. I got the classes VIII division and IX division I. I decide to teach "Gravitation" in physics for IX standard and from Chemistry "solutions" for VIII standard. I take the class in alternative days. For VIII I the timetable was scheduled at 6.15 pm to 7.00 pm., link was sent at 6.10 pm via google meet and physics for IX I was scheduled at 7.00 pm to 7.45 pm, and the link was sent at 6.50 pm. I had covered the topic Gravitation, Law of Gravitation, force of gravition, Acceleration due to gravity, mass and weight, free fall in physcis and in Chemistry, solute and solvent, concentration of solutions, saturated solu...

Innovative work

Report on Innovative work Submitted by, Emila Joy                           Physical Science                            B.Ed semester 3 Submitted to, Chinmayi.S Innovative work as a part of B.Ed curriculum For the innovative work I choose the topic electrolysis. Here I’m setting up an simple experiment to depict electrolysis of water using some materials that are easily available in the house. For this the requirements are: two pencils, wires, beaker, water, salt, batteries. A connection circuit is made with this properties collected and the experiment is demonstrated.  Through this experiment students will be able to understand the concept of the process of electrolysis of water clearly. They will also develop a scientific attitude and process skills to prepare themselves such simple experimental setups on further topics they come acros...
